The F-word: why wrestling is real

There are less than 24 days until WrestleMania. WrestleMania, for those who don’t know or who write off the professional wrestling industry entirely due to general dislike or irrational hatred, is the “Super Bowl of professional wrestling” — the biggest event in the wrestling industry, and a soon-to-be 31-year-old tradition for WWE.

Time to hang up the boots

On November 15, 2013, the first The Stute Smackdown debuted. The title of the column was “Something you don’t outgrow,” and that was referring to professional wrestling, one of the greater passions of the column’s author (me).

The future is now

WrestleMania XXX was the most unpredictable, shocking, and arguably best WrestleMania in the spectacle’s recent history, if not its entire 30-year existence.

Why “WrestleMania” matters

Since I began writing “The Stute Smackdown,” my focus has fluctuated from standalone editorials about various aspects of the professional wrestling industry to summary and analysis of WWE programming.

The post-Elimination Chamber Raw that we deserved

Following the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view on February 23, the WWE Universe expected a spectacular Raw. Why you should be excited for “Elimination Chamber”

What a bizarre past few months it has been for WWE! On one level, there has been severe backlash from the fans with the departure of CM Punk from the company and the return of Batista – ending Daniel Bryan’s opportunity to participate in the main event of WrestleMania 30 and win the WWE World Heavyweight Championship (assuming he loses at Elimination Chamber).
