Dream team

Zisi Komar, originally from San Diego, CA, is a second year Biomedical Engineering student. In addition to playing on the Stevens women’s soccer team, she is a part of the Phi Sigma Sigma sorority on campus.

Bob Dylan became the first musician to ever win the Nobel Prize in Literature this year. Dylan, best known for his career as a songwriter, had his start singing protest songs in Greenwich Village.

Always and forever P!nk

Billie Haas knew she wanted to pursue some form of art for her whole life. In high school the realm of live entertainment piqued her interest, which in turn led her to Stevens.

Stepping outside her box

Margaret Marino, originally from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, is a freshman majoring in Visual Arts and Technology. Although she describes herself as a “pencil and paper kind of girl,” she is interested in learning more about technology, which is one of the factors that drew her to Stevens.

Larry Markiewicz, one of the newest ducks on campus, is the new Stevens orchestra conductor. He began taking trumpet lessons from, a young age and later became a trombonist.

Yes she Cahn

In addition to performing center-stage at DeBaun Auditorium and singing in the Stevens Choir, Julia Cahn is a second-year Engineering Management major from Rockland County, NY.

Starring…Dylan Sidali

Dylan Sidali is a first year undecided engineering student originally from Jackson, New Jersey. He currently plays in the Stevens Jazz Band, in addition to building basic circuits involving chips and optical fibers in the QuEST lab.

Starring… Rob Whipple

Rob Whipple is a fourth year Electrical Engineering student who is also in the co-op program at Stevens. Originally from Pittsburg, PA, Rob is a clarinetist in both the Stevens orchestra and band, and is in both the Environmental Club and Engineers for a Sustainable World.

Starring…Katie van Orden

Music is like doing homework. You can do both activities alone or with others. Although you may feel more comfortable playing your instrument in a practice room or sitting alone in your dorm room in order to power through WebAssign homework, remember that there is a lot to be gained from working with others.
